Namitha’s self request to be villain

Bombshell Namitha couldn’t steal the spotlights in the recent times due to her bulk sized figure. The actress had shed down some weight before few months and all of sudden has exceeded the weight in Kilos. The actress was recently present in Hyderabad for the 50th day celebration of Telugu Movie ‘Simha’ and the fashion police started beating her over the reviews of her oversized figure. As a result the producers and filmmakers have backed off from offering her roles in their films.

But our Kalainyar Karunanidhi has been kind enough to offer her a role in his upcoming film Ilainyan. There were some reports that the actress is playing the negative role in this film and it was just like some rumors. Ohh..La..La..La Audio Launch

This morning (July 25) turned to be a star-spangled occasion at Kamala Cinemas as Tamil film industry’s most happening and celebrated personalities were present for the audio launch of ‘Ooh…La…La…La’. Of course, veteran producer A.M. Rathnam’s son Jyothi Krishna was the star of hour as he makes debut as an actor with this film.

Tamil film producers Council President Ramanarayanan, Producer Murali, K.S. Ravikumar, Dharani, K.R., Amma Creations T. Siva, Lakshmi Movie Makers Muralidharan, Ganja Karuppu, actress Keerthi Chawla, Ramesh Khanna, Chitti Babu, Pattimandram Raja and many others were present.

The audio was launched by TFPC President Ramanarayanan with filmmakers Dharani, Perarasu, K.S. Ravi Kumar, A.M. Rathnam and other celebrities.

K.S. Ravikumar came up with an interesting speech unraveling the most surprising fact about Jyothi Krishna. Well for many, it’s about Jyothi Krishna making his debut directorial with ‘Enakku 20 Unakku 18’, but very few know that he penned the script for ‘Natpukkaaga’ while studying in 10th Std. Also K.S. Ravikumar didn’t fail to turn lights on Jyothi Krishna’s luck factor with his heroines. Naturally, the actresses – Thamannah, Ileana, Shriya and others, he introduced are now flying high with successful colors.

Tamil Film Producers Council President Ramanarayanan wished the entire team that Ooh…La…La..La will be an excellent romantic entertainer like yesteryear classics – Kadhalikka Neramillai and Ullathai Allitha.

Director K.R. appreciated A.M. Rathnam’s courage and bold attempt of having produced 2 films (Indian and Boys) and indeed paid Rs.10Crores as the interest.

Dharani prized the makers of this film that the creative invitation of audio launch itself delineates the efforts of entire team. Also the filmmaker mentioned that A.M. Rathnam has been such a producer, who has dedicated his life churning out best films.

Perarasu jocularly stated that Jyothi Krishna has overtaken director K.R. in a particular aspect. ‘At least K.R. had made a film titled VANAJA GIRIJA, but Jyothi Krishna has included names of 4 girls in this film…’

Pattimandram Raja on his turn added more humor to the occasion by sharing his working experience with the entire team. Totting up, he admitted that the Hindi speaking actress Preethi Bhandari uttered the lines in few unique ways and even then he had emote with the exact reactions. But he won the absolute applause when he requested the filmmakers to give proper recognition and respect to assistant directors, who almost work restlessly without food and sleep. Finally, he commented that everyone calls him as the father of beautiful gals as he is very often offered with such roles.

Ganja Karuppu extended his heartiest thanksgiving to A.M. Rathnam for providing him the best hospitality even at times; he hadn’t made it bigger as an actor.

Finally, A.M. Rathnam turned all the spotlights on him with a spellbinding speech about the film production and how his sons accidentally took up acting. About Bollywood, A.M. Rathnam openly admitted that gone are those days, when the Hindi film producers were underworld groups, diamond merchants and building contractors. But now around 25 Multi National Corporate Companies like Reliance, Shri Ashta Vinayak and others have forayed into films. As a matter of fact, the producers in Bollywood have a great respect for film technicians in Tamil Cinemas as they believe that our professionals are always known for their top-notching works. About his son Jyothi Krishna, he wanted him to get settled in Hollywood to be like Night Shyamalan. But somehow, on own interests, JK stayed back here to prove of his adeptness. “I have been fascinated by his script of ‘Natpukkaaga’ that was done him while studying in 10th Std and his debut directorial ‘Enakku 20 Unakku 18’ delivered me good profits in both Tamil and Telugu. I wish him that his onscreen debut too has favorable results for him” concluded A.M. Rathnam.

Jyothi Krishna gave away the vote of thanks for each and everyone, especially the actress – Preethi Bhandari for having uttered pages of Tamil dialogues fluently at a single shot.

Thillalangadi Review

Banner: Sun Pictures, Jeyam Company
Production: Editor Mohan, Kalanidhi Maaran
Direction: Jeyam Raja
Star-casts: Jeyam Ravi, Thamannah, Shyam, Vadivelu, Santhanam and others
Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja
Lyrics: Vaali, Na.Muthukumar, Vivega
Cinematography: Rajashekar

Krishna (Ravi) is a guy of adventures and loves KICKS in all his works. In fact, the narration of his characterization during initial minutes of films speaks of his nature. His girlfriend Nisha (Thamannah) has already broke up with him. Now her parents have decided to get her married with a police office, again named Krishna Kumar (Shaam). Nisha speaks about her boyfriend, who is so unconvinced with simple things in life and keeps taking risks. Even at places, where he earns Rs.1Lakh as his remuneration, he resigns the job at the end of first month. This makes Nisha get away from him and is now getting engaged with Krishna Kumar, who has come to Malaysia in search of a thief. The biggest twist in the tale is that the thief in Malaysia is none other than Nisha’s ex-boyfriend Krishna. Now the cop and thief start playing the chasing game and meanwhile Krishna wants to win back the heart of Nisha. Why Krishna, a well educated and talented guy is involved in the robbery of million of rupees is exposed in the second half.

Jeyam Ravi is done what just Ravi Teja has done in the Telugu film and Thamannah too the same as Ileana. Jeyam Ravi is bubbly with his activeness and his jovial nature is delivered well by Raja. Thamannah looks cute and has worked well on her costumes. Vadivelu’s comedy tracks are enjoyable and Santhanam should have been given some importance as when compared to his previous films, he doesn’t get more scenes. Prabhu and Suhasini as Ravi’s parents have done a good job. Shaam is fantastic as he suits the role of a cop. For those, who have seen the film KICK, it is like watching the film second time as nothing has been altered. But, if you are watching the film for the first time and then you need not worry as it offers wholesome entertainment.

Technical parts are nice as Yuvan’s songs are nice and camera work is also good. The film’s lengthy duration does not seem to be big constraint as the narration is so enjoyable with fun, frolic, romance and action with sentimental realms during the flashback sequences and a convincing climax.

If you are planning to watch this film, go ahead and relax sitting back as Thillalangadi is good at parts.

Verdict: Nice Entertainment as in Kick

Rating: 5/10

Are Prabhu Deva and Prakash Raj – The Inglorious?

Prabhu Deva and Prakash Raj do share a big similarity and everyone knows about it. Apart from their personal lives, the duo is now troubling filmmaker Thankar Bacchan. The filmmaker unknowing of their inconsistency to complete the projects on time signed them for his upcoming film Kalavadiya Pozhudhugal. The film’s shooting was completed before a very long time and is still remaining under cans. This is mainly because both Prabhu Deva and Prakash Raj are not dubbing for the film. Ayngaran Productions is already under big problem of their films not doing well except their recent release Angaadi Theru. God alone knows what are Prabhu Deva and Prakash Raj up to?
